Return and Exchange Policy

Wood is a natural product that is subject to change based on ambient temperature and humidity. Slabs, in particular, are prone to expansion and contraction as seasons change. For this reason, we urge our customers to take measures to ensure the longevity of their products. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Keep your product away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures (e.g. very hot, very humid, extreme cold).
  • Avoid storing your product outdoors in winter.
  • Do not move your product rapidly from a very hot environment to a very cold environment or vice versa.
  • Clean up spills immediately.
  • Maintain by dusting often.

We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship and do our best to work with excellent shippers. However, we understand that damage can occur in transportation. If this happens, damages must be reported to us within the first 48 hours after delivery.

Unfortunately, our products cannot be returned for a refund or an exchange if the product has been used. For a return or exchange, the item must be in the original packaging and must be in the same condition you received it. Items must be returned within 7 days of delivery and are subjected to a full inspection by Canadian Salvaged Timber in order to determine it has not been used.

Returns will carry a minimum restocking fee which shall be equal to 25% of the net value of the items being returned, plus shipping, handling, duties, foreign tariffs and or inspection fees, and any other associated costs, as applicable. All such costs and associated fees are the responsibility of the Buyer and shall be paid within five (5) business days.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refund Confirmation

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item(s). We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 2 business days. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your credit card bill.

Sale Items

Only regular priced items may be refunded or exchanged. Sale items are final sale.

Defective or Damaged Goods

If your order has been received damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please save the carton, all packaging, and the product(s). Contact us immediately via e-mail.

Return and Shipping

Canadian Salvaged Timber is not responsible for return shipping costs. In addition, shipping costs are non-refundable.

When shipping an item for a return or exchange, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We, Canadian Salvaged Timber, can not guarantee that we will receive your returned item and we are not responsible for lost merchandise.
